Fauzi Bowo, Governor of Jakarta, visits the seminar to talk to the coaches

USBC's busiest international coach, bowling ambassador, Paeng Nepomuceno (pictured left) of the Philippines cut his participation short in the ongoing Philippine International Open to conduct a 4-day Level One and Bronze certification seminar in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The seminar was held in the government-owned Jakarta Bowling center in cooperation with the Indonesian Olympic Committee and was organized by Isra Tahir who is the chairman of the Indonesian Bowling Federation, Jakarta chapter.

Fauzi Bowo, the Governor of Jakarta, took his time to visit the seminar and to talk to the coaches.

After 4 days of on and off-lane teaching, thirteen coaches from various provinces of Indonesia passed the Jakarta coaching conference.

The latest USBC Bronze level coaches are:

Haryoaji Buwono, Orlando Brian Robot, Gatot Aryo Nugroho, Recky Irwanshah,Sari Farianty, Gunawan Wibisono, Harapan Parulian Matondang, Robby Roumimper, Indra Gondokusumo, David Paruhan Sitorus, Fritz Ohara Tobing, Haqi Armein and Andika Anantaputra.

Prior to the seminar Paeng has been invited to visit the USBC headquarters in Arlington, Texas and got an update of latest researches. The Philippine legend was amazed with all the new developments that USBC has come up with.

Included in the new Bronze module is a chapter on two handed bowling. Paeng also focused on the pedagogy of coaching, fine tuning the physical game, ball motion and ball components.

During his stay in Indonesia Paeng also held daily clinics for bowlers in the evenings. He will fly back home on Monday to resume his participation in the 39th Philippine International Open Championships which runs from June 5-20 at Paeng's Midtown Bowl in Manila. Paeng is currently in third place in the Men's Open Masters qualifying with a score of 1342.
